About us

An introduction to Harmoni

Harmoni has come a long way since its humble beginnings. We have grown out of a West London GP co-operative set up in 1996, and our core business is the delivery of out of hours care. Initially Harmoni had 104 GP members. Today we are the largest provider of Primary Care Services in the UK with over 300 GP shareholders. We deliver excellent, high-value patient care on behalf of the NHS for over eight million patients across England.

To deliver our vision, we have developed a service model that delivers high quality integrated care pathways through a variety of services including:

  • Single point of access
  • 111 telephone services
  • Offender healthcare services
  • GP led health centres
  • Urgent care centres
  • IT services

Our ethos is to "treat patients as family" and to "treat staff as we would want to be treated ourselves". This drives our behaviours and values across the organisation.

A snap-shot survey of the Suffolk GP Out of Hours Service, carried out by a patient watchdog, has shown a high level of patient satisfaction with complaints falling.
