Nicholas Relph - Independent Non-Executive
How long have you been working for Harmoni?
I joined the Harmoni board as a Non-Executive Director in late 2006 and spent a year working with the independent sector on a scheme to develop new elective hospitals and capacity in the South West.
Background...
I attended Manchester University gaining a Geography honours degree, after which I trained as an accountant in the NHS and became a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy in 1983.
After a number of finance posts in Yorkshire, I moved to Oxfordshire and worked in both community and acute services before being appointed Deputy Regional Finance Director.
I became Finance Director of Oxfordshire Health Authority in 1993 and was subsequently appointed Deputy Chief Executive. I became Chief Executive of the Thames Valley Strategic Health Authority in April 2002. I was the Senior Responsible Officer for Connecting for Health across the South of England for four years.
