Being told by commissioners that we have won a new contract or had an existing one extended.

Why do you enjoy working for Harmoni?
It is rare to have the opportunity to work for an organisation that is growing so quickly and making such a difference; it is something to make the most of.

How does your role affect Harmoni's vision of 'treating patients as family'?
Our vision is at the heart of all we do and the guiding star in our rapidly changing environment. It helps keep me focused on why we do what we do.

A bit of background information about you
I am an Engineer by training with a background in glass manufacturing and IT. I like to understand how things work.

A day in the life.......
I'm a lark and like to get through my emails before the normal rush of meetings and discussions begin in the morning. I seem to spend a lot of time in my mobile telephone kiosk (aka my car) talking to colleagues, commissioners and partners about improving outcomes for patients. Oh, and of course there are the tenders to support and always too much to do in too little time, but through strong teamwork the final document always gets to the commissioner on time.

A little-known fact about you
I used to be a good bridge player.

What did you want to be when you grew up?
I get cross with people who ask my kids this question as I still have no idea what I want to be when I grow up!
