Nick Gordon – Commercial and Finance Director

How long have you been working for Harmoni?
Since January 2006.

What is the best part of your job?
It must be working with my Harmoni colleagues. They are all so motivated in what they do.

Why do you enjoy working for Harmoni?
The business does not and cannot stand still, so there is always something new to plan, think about, or do.

How does your role affect Harmoni's vision of 'treating patients as family'?
My role is to remove as many barriers as possible to achieving our vision.

Background...
I joined Harmoni from Chilvers McCrea Healthcare where I grew the business from 2 to 18 GP practices in less than two years. I have also run an Alternative Investment Market (AIM) listed company and have been a Financial Director for companies in the IT and consulting sectors. All of the companies I have worked with have undergone significant organisational change, and I am confident that my experience in this area will be important in supporting Harmoni as it grows.

A day in the life...
...will see me doing something different each day and working from our different sites around the country "hot -desking"

A little-know fact about you...
Aged 11 I was the youngest person to represent England at Sailing.

What did you want to be when you grew up?
OK, I admit it; I wanted to be a doctor but decided I was too squeamish to pursue it as a career.
