Weston GP Healthcare Centre
The Weston GP Healthcare Centre operates from two sites: Weston General Hospital and 12–14 The Boulevard in central Weston. The service is open 365 days a year, 8a.m. to 8p.m. Anyone who is not registered with a GP can 'walk in' without an appointment and see a medical professional. Alternatively, patients living within four miles of the Centre can register with the service as they would a normal GP surgery.
Weston General Hospital
At this site we provide healthcare services to any patient whether or not they are already registered with a GP elsewhere. The services available here include, but are not limited to, the treatment of minor illnesses and injuries, and other specialist clinics and services such as:
- Asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
- Diabetes
- Hypertension
- Cholesterol
- Travel vaccines
- Childhood immunisations
- Flu vaccinations
- Child health surveillance
- Baby clinics
- Family planning
- Weston Integrated Sexual Health Clinic (WISH Clinic)
- Health promotion clinics
This service is open 365 days a year, 8a.m. to 8p.m.
12-14 The Boulevard
This centre is co-located with the NHS North Somerset Health Central. It is primarily for patients without a GP of their own as well as for those with complex and challenging healthcare needs who may currently feel excluded from other Healthcare Services. This may include patients not currently registered with a GP, drug and alcohol dependent people, the homeless, holiday makers, temporary residents and elderly people.
This service is open Monday to Friday, 11a.m. to 5p.m.
